Somali President Mohamed Sheikh Hassan stated that the Israeli occupation seeks, through its recognition of the Republic of Somaliland, to resettle Palestinians there, confirming that “Somaliland has agreed to host Palestinians.”
The Somali president added today, Tuesday, in an interview with media outlets, that the Israeli occupying entity is attempting to control strategic waterways.
Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud accused the Somaliland government of maintaining ongoing relations with Israel, saying: “The Israeli occupation has had a permanent presence in Somaliland, and the recognition of the Republic of Somaliland is merely the formalization of what had been happening behind the scenes.”
