Trade relations between Tunisia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recorded a notable performance in 2025, with total bilateral exchanges exceeding TND 1.143 billion, including TND 276.2 million in Tunisian exports. This growth highlights the strengthening economic ties between the two countries and their shared ambition to deepen and diversify cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX), the outlook for bilateral collaboration remains promising, supported by tangible opportunities to boost the presence of Tunisian products in the Saudi market\u2014one of the region\u2019s most dynamic and high-consumption economies. This momentum aligns with Tunisia\u2019s broader strategy to diversify its trade partners and enhance exports in high value-added sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key sectors driving this cooperation include agri-food industries, mechanical and manufacturing industries, and services, in addition to pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, which are attracting growing interest from Saudi investors amid evolving healthcare demands across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the Saudi firm Taghreed International Limited conducted a business visit to Tunisia from April 22 to 25, led by its CEO, Mazen Abdulrahman Al-Bashar. The visit aims to explore partnership opportunities with Tunisian manufacturers and exporters in the pharmaceutical and medical supplies sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This mission follows up on the outcomes of the Tunisian-Saudi Investment and Partnership Forum Riyadh December 2025, which served as a key platform for enhancing bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in strategic sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit seeks to strengthen coordination with Tunisian companies operating in the pharmaceutical industry and to explore ways to support their exports to the Saudi market, thereby opening new avenues for joint investment, technology transfer, and expertise exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation\u2019s agenda included working sessions with representatives from the Ministry of Trade and Export Development, as well as meetings at the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA), attended by stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, the national medicines authority, and professional pharmaceutical bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
