Most users are looking for something interesting (or useful) and clickable; Once you find some promising candidates, Users click. If the new page does not meet users’ expectations, The back button is clicked and the search continues.
A good website should be easy to navigate
Not all sites are created equal. Some websites are simple, logical and easy to use. Others are a messy jumble of pages and links.
Without website navigation, Visitors can’t know how to find your blog, email sign-up page, product or pricing lists, contact information, or help docs.
Quick and easy access to the content they are looking for is more important to your website users than… A visually stunning design.
Website navigation allows visitors to flow from one page to another without frustration. If you have done your job well, Visitors leave your site with the intention of returning and may buy something from you or sign up for your email list.
Bad mobility is a particularly common problem. We have all struggled to find things on disorganized websites without any logical structure. It feels hopeless.
Create visual rhythms in your layouts
In design, Rhythm is created simply by repeating elements in predictable patterns. This repetition is a natural thing that happens everywhere in our world. As people, We are driven every day by timing and predictable events.
One of the best ways to use repetition and rhythm in web design is in your website’s navigation menu. Consistent, easy-to-follow style — in color, layout, etc. It gives users an easy-to-use roadmap for everything you want to share on your site.
Elements that can help with the visual composition of a website
Nobody enjoys looking at an ugly web page. Flashy colors, busy images, and distracting animations can turn off customers and send them shopping elsewhere. Basic composition rules for creating the most effective:
- Guide the eye with the main lines
- Balance your items
- Use elements that complement each other
- Be clear about your “touch points” and where you put them
The size and placement of elements in the composition will determine its balance. Unbalanced design generates tension, Which may be the goal in many design projects, But for web applications that require frequent convenient use, Stress is not a desirable trait.
